"I have personally crawled through many fur farms, cattle rearing farms, poultry houses and pig barns and I am still surprised that all of this is real.
I have seen minks, ferrets and arctic foxes being killed so that an image obsessed man could feel luxurious and sexy; lonely calves confined to small boxes, torn away from their mothers and their milk, because milk belongs to the business and calves to the slaughter houses; pigs sitting and gagging in shit, their own as well as others; purposely distorted chicks that are then called broiler chickens, who are advertised as healthy and tasty meat; and I have seen hens - madly cackling and half-lunatic egg machines - covered on feathers; and I saw that all is so damn hard. I have witnessed many other terrible abuses that the judiciary system as well as the mainstream society either endorse outright or are complicit with through their silence. I could hope that one day a change will come and I can strive towards that future. It's just that... what about the animals whose lives, at this very moment, are maimed?"

Our oceans are dying. We have lost 90% of all large fish in the world's oceans over the last 50 years due to the introduction of industrial fishing techniques. Scientists have estimated that we could be faced with a dead ocean within just 4 decades -- unless we ensure destructive fishing ends. The Black Fish is pioneering a new approach to marine conservation and working across Europe to expose and challenge illegal and destructive fishing practices. Using drones, citizen inspectors, boats and social media, The Black Fish put citizens at the heart of investigating and reporting on illegal fishing practices. Join the film screening and presentation/talk to explore the plight of our oceans and learn what can be done.

Represivní složky mají k dispozici celý arzenál sledovacích technik a technologií. Některé z nich jsou masivně nasazovány na demonstracích a podobných veřejných akcích, další jsou v provozu neustále a je jim nepřetržitě podroben každý z nás. Jeden z českých zinů měl v tematickém čísle o sledování podtitul: Jsi-li sledován, maskuj se... Otázkou je, jak. Doby, kdy stačila kukla, jsou pryč... Budeme si tedy povídat o tom, čím nahradit kuklu na prahu jedenadvacátého století. Mezi otázky, na které si budeme odpovídat, patří: Co umí pouliční kamery, kde jsou jejich meze a co z jejich technických omezení lze využít ve svůj prospěch? Jak spolehlivá je technologie automatického rozpoznávání obličeje a jak ji znemožnit? Co všechno na nás prozradí telefon? Kdo a jak ho může odposlouchávat a kdy to dělá? A jak je to s dalším haraburdím, jako jsou GPS trackery, odposlechy prostoru nebo drony? Řeč bude i o klasické oldschool sledovačce alá dobrodružství kriminalistiky a dalších věcech...

SELF-DEFENCE FOR BEGINNERS

Do fighting sports scare you but you'd still like to know how to be street-wise? Are you interested in some basic self-defense techniques? Are you into martial arts but never dared to go to an actual dojo? Would you like to get a quick introduction to self-defense and learn to kick and punch? Then this workshop is for you! We'll go through some self-defense basics, talk about why it's relevant in our communities, have a chat about personal space and safety and, of course, learn some kicking/punching techniques as well as some other effective tricks of the trade. In a safe (read: NON-MACHO) atmosphere. Everyone is welcome to join - independent of your age, gender or fighting experience. We'll try and make it interesting for everyone!

COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP
This workshop focuses largely on the idea of community building. Since the subject is really vast, we'll start at what I think is the core issue: Communication.In other words we'll be talking about talking and here is why. Language is what defines and shapes our whole existence. It develops along with our whole thought process, becoming second nature so it is nearly impossible not to take it for granted. But why is this important? Well, because becoming aware of how we use language means that we become aware of how we think. Knowing how we think is directly linked to our actions. And I think you will agree that actions are ultimately what defines who we are both as individuals and as a group. Who might benefit: everyone interested in community building, social science, psychology, linguistics and personal development. What to expect: only scientific stuff and personal views stated as such. You won't be told what is right, wrong, healthy, positive or what you should do. You will be presented information and given a couple of simple tools that will help you in your future interactions and plans.

KOMUNITNÍ CENTRUM ATENEO JAKO SOUČÁST ANTIKAPITALISTICKÉ PRAXE
Komunitní centrum Ateneo funguje už téměř dva roky. Je to dost dlouho na to, abychom mohli hodnotit, jak moc se nám daří uvádět do praxe cíle, kvůli kterým Ateneo provozujeme. Toto centrum čerpá inspiraci jak z anarchistických projektů, které působily ve třicátých letech ve Španělsku, tak z projektů, které působily nedávno či nyní v ČR. Ateneo je však projekt v některých ohledech jedinečný. Plní specifické funkce v rozvoji antikapitalistické komunity a při překonávání společenské atomizace. Budeme přednášet o tom jaké funkce to jsou i o teorii jejich rozšiřování.
